Influenced by bands such as Led Zeppelin, Free, Bad Company and Thin Lizzy, Chris Lyne started to play guitar at the age 11. Chris’ main influences were Jimmy Page, Gary Moore, Paul Kossoff and later John Sykes. 

Between 1986 and 2011, the Berlin based guitar player played in various Hard Rock bands including the group Soul Doctor (2000-2011), which has released five highly successful studio albums and two live album. Chris Lyne performed most of all major rock festivals in the world like                 „Wacken Open Air“, „Rock Of Ages“ and Sweden Rock“ and toured with many high profile acts around the globe. Chris Lyne also performed live with ex Rainbow and Deep Purple singer Joe Lynn Turner and Gary Barden ( Michael Schenker Group ) and worked with many international artists as sound engineer for various records. He also work as session guitar player and songwriter.
 
In 2013, the recordings for the debut album of his current band Mother Road were completed. This new group is the brainchild of Lyne and American singer Keith Slack (Michael Schenker Group, Steelhouse Lane) and delivers  a splendid mix of vintage sounds covering the late 70’s & early 80’s British Blues Rock sounds and American counterparts – based on the mutual influences of these two musicians..

“Drive” hit the charts in different countries .
